When it comes to cocktail bars in Jongno, there are many to choose from, but none quite as special as Bar Friends. As the oldest cocktails bar in the area, it has become a staple for locals and visitors alike.
One of the things that sets Bar Friends apart is its intimate atmosphere. With a capacity of up to 45 people, it’s larger than most bars in Jongno, but it still manages to feel cosy and welcoming. Whether you’re flying solo or hanging out with friends, you’re sure to feel right at home here.
But what really makes Bar Friends stand out is its cocktails. The bartenders here are true experts, crafting drinks that are both beautiful and delicious. From classic cocktails like the Old Fashioned and the Negroni to more modern creations, there’s something for everyone on the menu. And if you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask the bartender—they’re always happy to whip up something special just for you.
As one of the few gay bars outside of Itaewon where you’ll see some foreigners, it has become a hub for LGBTQ+ locals and expats. But even if you’re not part of that community, you’ll still feel welcome here. It’s a place where strangers become friends over a shared love of good drinks and good company.
